Tips On How to Lose Belly Fat and Why

Knowing how to lose belly fat can help you get rid of that jelly roll around your waist. In addition, losing belly fat can keep you healthy.

How to Lose Belly Fat
The best way to lose belly fat is also the safest way: eating a healthy diet and exercising regularly. Diets and exercises that promise you fast results or focus on just one portion of your body are bogus. The quick weight loss diets usually result in the loss of water weight, which you will put back on when you quit the diet, rather than fat weight. Besides, you have to get rid of body fat before you can see those taunt muscles.

As a result, sit-ups and other abdominal exercises should be included in your overall exercise program, no matter how much you might hate them. Not only will strong muscles look nicer as you lose your tummy fat, those strong muscles will help prevent lower back pain.

In addition to doing abdominal exercises, try other types of exercise. Walking, swimming and riding bikes are all great activities. Join a gym and try their exercise classes. The point is that you are more likely to keep exercising consistently if you indulge in a variety of different types of activity.

Variety in your diet is just as important – low fat diets don’t need to be boring. Explore the world of fresh fruits and vegetables and don’t forget to eat at least three servings of fish a week.

Why Lose Belly Fat?
Belly fat does not add anything attractive to your appearance. Additionally, people who are overweight are at greater risk of developing cardiovascular disease. Fat is also associated with greater risks of developing diabetes and certain types of cancers.

Belly fat in and of itself can also cause problems. People with belly fat are more likely to develop hardening of the arteries, which can lead to heart attacks and strokes. In addition, belly fat is associated with inflammation, breast cancer and sleep apnea.

Hello y’all. I’ve been battling with my weight, especially around the belly. I’ve had 5 kids. The first 3, the post fat just melted all on its own without any effort on my part to lose them. Not so much for the 4th and 5th time. I was in denial and too lazy/tired to work out. Now considered obesed according to my BMI, I am now doing something about it. There are no overnight or fast and safe way to lose the weight. If you use diet pills, you’re most likely losing water weight. Eversince I’ve decided to get off my behind and act, I’ve lost 15 lbs so far and counting. This is what I do: 1. I drink lots of water, 2. I eat lots of fruits/veggies w/ my meals (just say no to fast food), 3. I eat until I’m not hungry anymore, but not stuffed. Pay attention to your body when you eat. You’ll know…, 4. I exercise: On M,W,F, I do cardio. On T,Th, I do mild resistance training (weights). Sometimes I miss certain days or for some unavoidable reason, I don’t make it to the gym to work out, I just make sure I keep moving around and be a little more active at home. I don’t need a gym to do my sit-ups or go for a walk with my kids.
Anyway, those steps work wonders for me. You just have to make a firm decision and commit to take action. Do it for yourself and feel empowered.
    I hope that helps.
    Thanks for reading :)

I got a pedometer… it counts the number of paces I walk. I set a goal each day to walk more than my average. It is working pretty well but some days I get busy.
